
Hawaii knows how to celebrate holidays and America’s 250th Independence Day will be a special time to be on the islands of Aloha. You’ll find everything from parades, rodeos, car shows, lots of live music, and, fireworks shows!
We spend weeks preparing our annual 4th of July guides, so be sure to check those for many more details. In the meantime, here’s a summary of the top events on slate for Independence Day 2026.
Oahu
Waikiki Beach: For this special occasion, Waikiki Beach will be hosting a fireworks show at 8:30 p.m.
Kailua Beach: The 77th Annual Kailua Beach Independence Day Parade is set to begin at 10:00 a.m. At 8:00 p.m., the fireworks show will light up the sky.
Hukilau Marketplace at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie: Hukilau Marketplace is hosting games, inflatables, live music, and a fireworks show at 9:00 p.m.
Haleiwa: For the fifth year, Haleiwa hosts a family friendly festival including games, music, car show, and a fireworks show at 8:20 p.m.
Additionally, the military communities are hosting special events, concerts, and fireworks shows. Those events are limited to DoD cardholders and sponsored guests.

Maui

Hawaii’s Big Island
Kona: The 29th annual Kailua-Kona community Independence Day parade is scheduled for 6:00 p.m., followed by Independence Day Fireworks Extravaganza at 8:00 p.m.
Hilo: Hilo Bay Blast is a day-long celebration starting with a fun run/walk/roll, a car show, music, and a fireworks show at 8:00 p.m.
