Aloha Friday Photo + Safe Travels Hawaii “Update”

Mahalo to Raymond DeCesare from Mount Bethel, Pennsylvania for sharing this beautiful sunset shot for Aloha Friday Photos

Raymond took this photo in 2019 from the west side of Oahu at one of lagoons at Ko Olina. We’ve stayed in Ko Olina several times and can attest to the fantastic sunsets here!

Safe Travels Hawaii “Update”

Rumors still swirl about possible changes to Hawaii’s Safe Travels program to redefine fully vaccinated to include boosters shots, if eligible, for quarantine exemptions with proof of vaccination. In Lt. Gov. Green’s COVID update yesterday, he said, “A lot of people are wondering if we’re going to make Safe Travels changes. The governor is traveling this week. He and I have discussed this. We’re going to pause for a moment on any changes. We’re going to get through to the next week and see where our numbers are.”

Note that even if changes are made, Hawaii leaders still plan to have a pre-travel testing quarantine exemption option for those who are not boosted or not vaccinated.

Happy Aloha Friday!

  1. Is it me, or is the sun in the east with the shore on the left in your Aloha Friday photo? I’m not that familiar with Ko Olina so maybe it’s the location around the lagoon.
