Is Hawaii, the Big Island, your destination for July 4th? We’ve got the lowdown of all the best fourth of July events and fireworks to celebrate this holiday.

Waikoloa Beach Resort July 4th Events & Celebrations

Waikoloa Beach Resort’s two shopping centers are hosting fun events and entertainment for the whole family.

– Kings’ Shops hosts the 24th Annual Waikoloa Rubber Duckie Race plus live entertainment. See this link for more information.

– Queens Marketplace hosts a Family Fourth of July with music and games. See this link for more information.

Waikoloa Fireworks at Waikoloa Bowl are set to light up the sky at 8pm. This event is free and open to the public. Entrances open at 4:30pm with a performance from Beyond Paradise at 5pm and Johnny Shots at 6:30pm. Guests are welcome to bring beach chairs and blankets. Coolers are not allowed. This event is alcohol-free, drug-free and smoke-free.

Kailua-Kona July4th Events, Parade & Fireworks

Coconut Grove Marketplace is hosting a free July 4th Concert at 4pm. See this link for more information.

Kailua-Kona’s Independence Day Parade is set to begin at 6pm with this year’s grand marshalls being Korean War Veterans. See this link for the parade route.

The Kona fireworks show is set to begin at 8pm. This fireworks display will be visible from along Kailua Bay in Kona.

July 4th Turtle Independence Day Celebration

The Mauna Lani Bay Hotel & Bungalows resort hosts their annual July 4th Turtle Independence Day Celebration. At this event, the hotel releases the young honu (sea turtles) that they have nurtured to the appropriate release size in their saltwater ponds. In addition to the ceremony and parade of honu going into the ocean, there will also be live entertainment and educational displays about honu. This event is free and open to the public. Food and drink will be available for purchase. This event will be held from 10:30am to noon.

53rd Annual 4th of July Rodeo & Horse Races at Parker Ranch

Parker Ranch hosts their annual July 4th rodeo and horse races from 9am until noon in the Waimea area. See this link for ticket pricing and more information.

Hilo Bay Blast 2015

Hilo Bay Blast is an all-day series of starting at 7am with a 5K run/walk. The day’s family-friendly events also include a car show, live entertainment and food. Hawaii County Band performs at 7pm and the big fireworks show is set to begin at 8pm. See this link for more information.
