Colors of Hawaii: Kauai’s Kalalau Valley

Posted on Wed, Aug 6, 2008 by Sheila

Kauai

Na Pali North Coast

This fantastic shot at the Kalalau Valley was captured by reader Peter Lazenby of Nanaimo, British Columbia.  This particular view is one of my favorites in all of Hawaii and is a must see when you visit Kauai.  (See my tips for visiting Kauai’s Waimea Canyon and Kokee State Parks.)  The scenery is beautiful with a hint of mystery in the air.

Mahalo to Peter for sharing his photo with us!

I agree that Kauai’s Kalalau Valley is a must see. There’s just no place else quite like it, and it’s a stunning, memorable view.

Hi Bobbie – you know one thing I’ve noticed about this beautiful view? It changes constantly depending on the sunlight and mysterious clouds that roll in and out. It’s really a place to go and hang out for a while rather than see it snap a photo and run. Thanks for your comment.
