I'm currently planning my third trip to Hawaii but to a different island that i've never been on before. I have had a lot of experience planning vacations in the same way you do. However, I don't do the map part because we use our GPS, but having one large map would be helpful too, so thanks for that idea and thank goodness I have a AAA membership! I used to do the spreadsheets but not so much anymore because now we use Tripit.com to store all our travel booking info. We can access it on our blackberries too so we'll pull it up for reference while in transit! We always print the tripit schedule as backup as well. Thanks for your great blog! I do everything listed above, right down to the nerdy spreadsheet! I also carry around a folder with all my confirmations & directions PLUS I have a folder on my laptop with the same exact information in case I lose my hard copies!
