Dave and Jo’s photo shows the entrance of the U.S.S. Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor. From this view you can get an idea of how the memorial stands above the water with the sunken battleship below water.
This point is where the Navy-operated shuttle boat drops off and picks up visitors. When in this vicinity, there is usually a respectful silence that falls on visitors.
