– From my inbox,  go! Airlines announced an inter-island flight sale with fares as low as $69 one-way to Oahu, Maui, Kauai, Kona and Hilo. The sale applies for travel through August 31, 2012. For this sale, you must book by midnight tonight.

– Island Air has extended their sale of inter-island fares ($69 one-way) for travel dates through July 12. You must book by May 11, 2012.

– The 20th World Fireknife Championship kicks off today at the Polynesian Cultural Center. You can peek in on the competition via livestream video.

– A new Big Island accommodation, Lava Lava Beach Club, is about to open in the Waikoloa Beach Resort. I love the sounds of these cottages on the beach. From the press release: “Each of the four contemporary Hawaiian cottages were designed, constructed and decorated to reflect a toes-in-the-sand beach chic lifestyle. With 576 square feet of beachfront real estate found under roof, each cottage includes a private covered lanai, outdoor natural lava rock shower enclosure, a king size bed outfitted with luxurious linens, a punee (Hawaiian for day-bed) in the living room area and a kitchenette.” Rates start at $495 per night.

– Costco members can get a heck of a deal at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort with five nights starting at $1,550. The package includes partial oceanview room,  rental car, daily breakfast for two, 2-for-1 luau, car and room taxes plus a $100 resort credit. That works out to be $310 per night with room, car and breakfast combined. See more about this deal.

– The Container Store has travel gear on sale. I’m going to go to stock up on Nalgene leakproof containers. They’re fantastic for travel.
