Just a couple quick things to let you know:
* A closure is planned on part of the road to Hana in May and early June. The Paihi Bridge which is between Hana and Kipahulu will be closed beginning May 5th, 2009 for approximately 4 weeks. Thus the Seven Pools and Lindbergh’s Grave will only be accessible via the back road which is not advisable. (Mahalo to reader RW for the head’s up)
* There’s a new batch of summer airfare deals to Honolulu that just came out from today. As I always advise, use a airfare search engine tool like Kayak to help you find the best airfare. Here’s a sampling of what you’ll find:
- Baltimore/Honolulu $362 roundtrip (including tax!) on Delta and Northwest
- JFK and Newark to Honolulu $366 roundtrip on Northwest
- Seattle/Honolulu $238 roundtrip for travel through 5/10/09 on Northwest
- Washington Dulles and National to Honolulu $362 roundtrip on American, Delta, and Northwest through 8/21/09
