We've been going there for years and I recommend it to everyone that asks me about Maui. I also checked out airfare from Chicago for the week of 11/30 to 12/6, and United had round-trip, non-stop flights for $450/person. Too good to be true, isn't it? Unfortunately, we have to pass because of work schedules and a few other things going in December, but we really wish we could. If we weren't already planning a trip for February, it probably would have been a done deal. If anyone here takes advantage of that offer, please do share (and have a Mai Tai for me). The Sheraton is supposed to be opening it's new Black Rock Spa this month and my wife is looking for first impressions on how it compares to the Westin Heavenly Spa. Oh, and I second Andy's vote on the hula pie. The last slice I had was from Leilani's at Whalers Village for my birthday this past April and haven't tasted a better dessert since. :) That’s an absolute steal for the Sheraton, just for the location of the resort itself.
