If you can’t be in Oahu to watch fireworks this year, then I hope you’ll enjoy this photo of Pele’s natural fireworks as lava flows to the ocean on the Big Island.

This photo is one of our favorites from the last trip to the Big Island. I love how you can see bits of the surface flow along with the distant lava flow into the ocean. I’m such a volcano nerd.
