Signs of Hawaii: Turtle Xing

Posted on Tue, Dec 16, 2008 by Sheila

General Hawaii, Maui

Well, it seems that I’m not the only person who likes to take photos of unusual signs. Here’s a “turtle xing” sign photo submitted by my friend Kris at Kaanapali Dreamin. He took this photo at the Maui Ocean Center by the turtle lagoon.

Mahalo for sharing your photo, Kris and watch for those honu crossing the path! :-)

I was attacked by a honu one time. Came right at me. Looked something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLlUgilKqms ;-)

    LOL, that was great.

We love these guys, and since we aren’t big on snorkeling (yet), we can only see them from afar when viewing from our lanai or by going to the Maui Ocean Center and seeing them in the Turtle Lagoon.

@ Andy – Wow! Must have been terrifying. ;-)

@ Kris – watching honu never gets old, does it?
