I read that the cost of the ferry was around $75 million, so that's going to take a whole bunch of passengers to pay for the vessel as well as the operating costs. I'm sure they'll do well in the beginning. However, after the novelty wears off, I'm not sure how many people will want to spend 3 hours getting to Maui when a plane takes 20 minutes.
