Maui’s Haleakala Bike Tours Under Review

The risky downhill bike tours from 10,000 feet above sea level are being evaluated for safety by the National Park Services.  A Haleakala National Park spokesperson told the Star Bulletin that they are evaluating the risks of the tours and how to reduce injury.  They declined to say whether a ban was being considered.     Quite honestly, I’ve never understood the appeal ... Hawaii’s Lone Conde Nast "Hottie"

Conde Nast Traveler released their 2007 Hot Lists this week covering hot new  hotels, nightclubs, restaurants, and spas from around the globe.  The only Hawaiian mention in this years list was for the Mandara Spa on Maui.  This new spa is at  the Wailea Marriott and part of a $60 million upgrade.  Hmmm…why am I suddenly craving a massage?  🙂 Technorati tags: Conde ...
