Kapalua Wine & Food Festival

The 2007 Kapalua Wine & Food Festival will be held June 28th through July 1st.  It will include several wine tastings and culinary seminars.  For a full look at what will take place, see the schedule of events.   Tickets for various events are still available.

Ritz-Carlton Kapalua to Close for Renovations

On July 2nd, the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua will close to undergo an extensive $95 million rennovation.  Here is a sampling of some of the changes:

• The guest rooms will be remodeled to include new furnishings, marble baths and Hawaiian inspired artwork.
• The spa will be expanded to 11,000 square feet.
• 107 guestrooms will be converted to two-bedroom, full ownership residential suites.
• New sushi restaurant

The resort plans to re-open in January 2008.  If you want to stay in the Kaplaua area while the Ritz-Carlton is temporialy closed, since the Kapalua Bay Hotel closed last year, your only option will be to stay in one of the Kapalua Villas.
