Independence Day celebrations in Hawaii are going to be fantastic for 2023! Dazzling fireworks shows are planned on all four of the major Hawaiian Islands.

The island of Oahu is going to be quite a festive place to celebrate the USA! In fact, you’ll find fireworks shows on Saturday July 1st, Sunday July 2nd and on the big day, Tuesday, July 4th. For fireworks shows, here’s the summary:
Celebrate independence with the USAG (Army) Hawaii Family and MWR at Schofield Barracks. This event includes activities, concerts and at 8:45pm, a laser light show along with fireworks. Day two of Ohana Day includes a full slate of concerts with the evening finishing with a fireworks show. Tickets are required. See this link
for more details.A fun-filled day of activities, concerts, a car show and a fireworks show are all planned at Haleiwa Beach Park. The fireworks show is set for 8:00 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. See this flyer for more information.
Games, concerts and a fireworks show are planned for Hukilau Marketplace in Laie by the Polynesian Cultural Center. The fireworks show is planned for 9:00 p.m. This celebration is free and open to the public. See this link for more details.
Kailua’s firework’s show will take place at 8:00 p.m. Check their webpage for details. This event is free and open to the public.
A day of activities, concerts and fireworks show are planned for this 4th of July Freedom Fest. This event is for Department of Defense cardholders and their guests. The general public may watch the fireworks from afar.

You might have noticed that there aren’t any fireworks in the Waikiki area for July 4th. Sadly, the fireworks show at Ala Moana Center is cancelled again for 2023. If you’re in Waikiki on either June 30th or July 7th, check out the Friday night fireworks show from Hilton Hawaiian Village.

Hawaii (Big) Island has multiple July 4th fireworks shows along with other special events to celebrate Independence Day. Both events are free and open to the public.

America’s Most West Freedom Fest at Barking Sands is free and open to the public for 2023. The fireworks show is planned to begin at 9:30 p.m. See this link
for the entertainment schedule. Also, at that link, take note of the instructions and prohibited items.The fireworks show of Kauai’s Concert in the Sky returns for the first time since 2019. This event is held in Lihue at the Vidinha Soccer Field. Tickets are required for entry. Proceeds benefit Kauai Hospice. See this link for more information and to purchase tickets.
