Hawaii Vacation News Roundup for December 3rd

- Per Smith Travel Research, Hawaii hotel room rates are up 10% statewide compared to this same time last year. The average hotel room cost across Hawaii is $220. Maui hotel rooms are the most expensive at $289 average per night. Kauai and the Big Island average $224. Oahu’s average rates are the least expensive at $181 per night. The average occupancy rate is down over 7% for an average of 67.3% statewide. (News source.)
