The Big Island of Hawaii offers the most unique Independence Day celebrations in the state. In the ranch area of Waimea, you’ll find the 55th annual fourth of July Parker Ranch Rodeo that honors the skill and history of the paniolo, the Hawaiian cowboy. Also, on the Big Island, the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel holds their 28th annual Turtle Independence Day Celebration to release sea turtles into the ocean.
