Finding a luau on Oahu – Reviews, Discounts, Locations & Schedules – UPDATED for 2026

If you are planning to catch a luau on Oahu, you’re in for a treat. Many of the longstanding Oahu luaus offer grand productions with set stages and many entertainers.

We’ve created this Oahu luau guide to help you choose the right luau to plan into your Oahu vacation itinerary. We’re including all the important details to consider — location, reviews, schedules and where applicable, discounts. To highlight the luau companies with the top reviews, we are placing a blue asterisk (*) beside the name of the luau. Each of those companies have a rating of 4.5 or higher out of 5.0 on TripAdvisor.

We’ll list the luaus geographically — going around Oahu in a clockwise manner. While we’re talking about geography, its important to note that the bigger luaus are outside of Waikiki. Don’t panic though if you are staying in Waikiki, as several luau companies offer transportation options to make the process stress free.

North & East Oahu

Toa Luau at Waimea Valley *

Schedule: This luau operates a lunch luau option and a dinner luau option. The lunch luau operates on Wednesdays and Fridays. The dinner luau operates on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. During busy summer months, the dinner luau may also operate on Monday evenings.

Paniolo, A Hawaiian Cowboy Luau

Polynesian Cultural Center * [Go Visit Hawaii’s Top Oahu Luau Pick]

Transportation from Waikiki: Available option
Notes: A visit to the Polynesian Cultural Center is more than just a luau. A long, but excellent day starts by arriving around noon to explore the various Polynesian villages and presentations. See the floating canoe pageant. Then have dinner at the Alii Luau with luau entertainment. Finish the night with their spectacular evening show, HA: Breath of Life. If you happen to visit on a rainy day, most of the Polynesian Cultural venues, including the luau and evening show, provide sheltered, open-air pavilions. If it rains, you are covered. Alcohol is not served at this venue.

Aloha Kai Luau at Sea Life Park 

Address: 41-202 Kalaniana’ole Hwy, Waimanalo, HI 96785
Schedule: Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and some Fridays

Transportation from Waikiki: Transportation from Waikiki is an available option. Note the option for early arrival to allow time to explore Sea Life Park.
Notes: This luau has a very unique setting with ocean on one side and mountains immediately on the other side. It’s a very scenic spot. This luau has been in operation for many years, but it changed its name to Aloha Kai Luau in 2023. One of the upsides to this luau is that tickets include a pass to visit Sea Life Park.

Notes: This luau moved locations in summer 2026 from Waikiki to Aloha Tower in Honolulu. This luau offers a different concept with premium, plated food that corresponds to the Polynesian show. We haven’t done this particular luau yet, but we’ve experienced something similar on Maui and we loved it. It’s definitely a more relaxing and enjoyable, in our option.

Chief’s Luau at Wet n’ Wild *

Reviews: Finding reviews has proven to be a challenge. For many years Chief Sielu was at the luau at Sea Life Park, but several years ago he started a new luau on the other side of Oahu at Wet ‘n Wild. Folks are still writing reviews about Chief’s Luau on TripAdvisor though the location has changed.

Notes: We haven’t been to this luau, but we have been to another luau which was lead by the same person, Chief Sielu Avea. He is an absolute delightful master of ceremonies and performer.

Fia Fia at the Marriott Ko Olina Beach Club *
