Hawaii Vacation News Roundup for October 15th

  • Rental car customers beware.  Some companies are charging high refueling charges (e.g. $6.99 per gallon) even when the gauge is showing full.  Dollar and Thrifty may require you to show a receipt that you purchase gas within 10 miles of the return location. 
  • Hawaiian Airlines has a “Give Thanks in Hawaii” special fare promotion.  Fares start as low as $248 (Seattle – Honolulu). 
  • Chris McCormack of Sydney, Australia won the 2007 Ironman.  His time for the 140.6 mile triathlon was 8 hours 15 minutes and 34 seconds.  Congratulations, Chris!
