I love finding vintage Hawaii memorabilia, and so naturally, I was glad to come across this vintage Oahu North shore surfing video from 1965. Before you watch it, prepare for some cheesy jokes and set aside nine minutes to see the entire video. Oh, and enjoy that Hawaiian exotica music, too. Yeah, baby!

Hi Sheila,
Have you been to the North Shore Surf Museum?
http://www.captainrick.com/surf_museum.htm
It’s one of my favorite places on Oahu and I always stop by whenever I’m in Haleiwa. The curator is as interesting as the memorabilia!
Hi Amber – no, I haven’t been to the North Shore Surf Museum. I did get a chance to check out the brand new Honolulu Surf Museum at the Ohana Beachcomber on my recent visit. It’s a unique museum that’s also a bar. They had quite a bit of interesting memorabilia that is all part of Jimmy Buffett’s collection. There’s no admission fee.
