* The 56-day advance reservation process for the shuttle boat ride to the USS Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor has been put on pause due to preservation work on the memorial. This temporary suspension of the 56-day advance reservation takes effect today, July 9, 2025, for reservations that would have started on September 3, 2025. Visitors arriving after September 3 may still be able to tour the Arizona Memorial, but access will be on a first come, first served basis, or through the standard reservation process where reservations are released the day before. * Episode 28 of the recent Kilauea eruption just started this morning. You can view this livestream video to check in on the latest activity. Most of these episodes have been lasting less than 10 hours, so the sooner you check, the better. Just to give you some perspective, the height of the lava is most likely reaching 500 to 1000 feet.
