Christmas in Polynesia at Oahu’s Polynesian Cultural Center

As I mentioned in our mega list of what to do for Christmas in Waikiki/Honolulu, we recommend the Polynesian Cultural Center’s Christmas in Polynesia canoe ride for a unique Christmas-y evening. The canoes gently meander through the Polynesian villages with thousands of brightly shining Christmas lights reflecting on the lagoon water.

You can catch this special holiday show through December 22nd. Here are the details:

WHEN:
Canoes run from 6:30 p.m.
December 7 – 15, 2012 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays
December 17 – 22, 2012 Monday – Saturday

Polynesian Cultural Center
55-370 Kamehameha Hwy., La‘ie, Hawai‘i
Transportation is available from Waikiki. Consider combining Christmas in Polyesia with all the other great things to see and do at the Polynesian Culture Center. Make a whole day of it starting at noon. Visit the Polynesian villages. Go to the luau and to their spectacular evening show Ha: Breath of Life.

ADMISSION:
$10 per adult and $8 per keiki for the canoe ride alone. If you are spending the entire day, going to the luau and evening show, for example, additional entrance fees are required.  Kamaaina Annual Pass holders enjoy one free ride per night. Riders receive a coupon for $2 off by bringing in their canned good donation for the Hawaii Food Bank.
