Hawaii Fact 25 of 50: The U.S.’s Only Royal Residence

Iolani Palace

The Iolani Palace on Oahu has one very big claim to fame – it’s the only official state residence of royalty in the United States. This royal residence was built in 1882 when Hawaii was under monarch rule.
