2019 Update — Click on this link for: 2019 Waikiki and Oahu Thanksgiving Dinners, Buffets, Events.

——————————–

If you are going to be on Oahu for Thanksgiving, then you’ll find quite a few special holiday events  going on around town.  Here’s a great collection of special Thanksgiving dinners, buffets, parades, and celebrations going on Thursday, November 27, 2008.

Hanohano at the Sheraton Waikiki will offer a four-course Thanksgiving dinner from 5:30pm to 10:00pm.  The cost is $70 per person plus tax and gratuity. As you know, I’m a big fan of the view from Hanohano..  For a look at this special Thanksgiving menu and more information see this link

.

Ocean Terrace at the Sheraton Waikiki will offer a Thanksgiving brunch buffet from 10:30am to 3:00pm.  You can see the menu here that includes traditional Thanksgiving fare with a Hawaii regional cuisine flair.  The cost is $36 for adults and $15 for children ages 6 to 12.

Lani Kai at the Westin Moana Surfrider will prepare a buffet spread with island favorites like ahi poke and traditional roast turkey and dressing.  The buffet will include separate stations for appetizers, entrees and desserts.  The buffet will be open from 3:00pm to 8:00pm and the cost is $75 for adults and $45 for children ages 6 to 12.  Click this link to see the menu and reservation information.

The Beachhouse at the Westin Moana Surfrider will feature a three-course Thanksgiving dinner menu from 5:30pm. The cost is $65 per person.

Bali by the Sea at the Hilton Hawaiian Village is offering a three-course Thanksgiving dinner menu.  The price is $75 for adults and $37 for children.  Taxes and gratuity are extra.

The Village Steak & Seafood Restaurant at the Hilton Hawaiian Village also has a special three-course Thanksgiving dinner with more of a traditional style Thanksgiving menu.  The cost is $57 for adults and $32 for children, plus taxes and gratuity.

Hilton Hawaiian Village guests can order Thanksgiving meal delivered to their room. It’s a good looking menu and if you are staying there and have a nice view, why not enjoy a more intimate Thanksgiving meal? The cost is $40 per adult and $25 per child, plus gratuity and taxes.  Here’s a link to the menu.

Summary of other places across Honolulu listed my Metro Mix.  Of note, on the inexpensive side, Zippy’s will be serving turkey and trimmings.

The 34th Annual Turkey Trot will give you a chance to burn off those Thanksgiving calories before you eat them with a 10-mile run on Thanksgiving morning. Registration is at the Kapiolani Park Bandstand at 6:30am and the run begins as soon as all are registered, so participants are advised to arrive early. Each runner will predict their finish time. At the finish line, their predicted time is compared to their actual finish.  Awards will be given to those coming closest to their own predicted finish time; also, there will be random drawings of finisher names for door prizes. Entry fee is $3; no watches, headphones, or pacing devices are allowed. For more details see this link

.

Waikiki Holiday Parade starts at 7:00pm and will feature over 4,000 marchers, 40 vehicles and 38 bands. The parade starts at Saratoga Road and Kalakaua Avenue, goes on to Kalakaua Avenue all the way to Monsarrat Avenue and ends at Queen Kapiolani Park.
