Hawaii Vacation News Roundup for October 16th

  • Jaunted.com has a cool series on Hawaii surfing schools.  Check out their interactive Hawaii surfing school map.
  • The Maui News has an editorial welcome to the whales with good reminders to be respectful of the humpback whales and never approach within a 100 yards of a whale.  Another interesting tidbit they share is that although we’ve already had whale sightings this month, the official whale-watching season runs from December 15th through May 15th.  Isn’t mid-May a stretch?  I’ve been to Maui in late April and early May and sightings were pretty scarce.
