Mahalo to Carl Priess for sharing this stunning Aloha Friday Photo. Carl told me that he traveled to Maui in February to escape the cold and rainy winter of Sacramento. When he arrived on Maui this year, he encountered a bit more rain than usual. As the rain took a break, he captured this incredible rainbow from Ka’anapali Beach.
While we don’t usually wish for rain on our Hawaii vacations, sometimes we actually benefit from it. This rainbow is a case in point. And, speaking of rainbows, did you know that Hawaii boasts some of the best rainbows on earth?
Without the rain, Hawaii’s tropical flowers would struggle to grow and the waterfalls wouldn’t flow. So, we really do benefit from rainfall after all.
