What’s happening on Oahu for July 4th? Lot’s of awesome Independence Day events — that’s what’s happening! We’ve got the lowdown on the island’s best July 4th celebrations – from patriotic picnics in Pearl Harbor to top notch fireworks from the beach.
One of Hawaii’s best July 4th fireworks display is hosted by Ala Moana Center from Ala Moana Beach Park. In it’s 25th year, this annual Fourth of July Celebration promises to please both locals and visitors alike.
Prior to the big fireworks show, Ala Moana Center hosts musical entertainment. Shoppers can enjoy 25% savings pass. See this link for details.
The Fireworks Spectacular launches from three separate platforms at Ala Moana Beach Park beginning at 8:30pm. The show is free and open to the public. For music to accompany the fireworks, tune into KSSK 92.3
.Ala Moana Center is located at 1450 Ala Moana Boulevard in Honolulu. To get there from Waikiki, you can drive, take the bus or trolley or walk. See this link for transportation options.
If you are staying in Waikiki, the Ala Moana Center fireworks show is the closest one to Waikiki Beach. The fireworks are potentially visible from various locations. Ask the concierge at your resort for viewing advice.
For a view of the fireworks from the water, the Star of Honolulu and the Dolphin Star are offering special fireworks cruises.
Bring your own picnic to the to enjoy on the pier beside of the USS Battleship Missouri, which is more affectionately known as the Mighty Mo.
Musical artists Jeremy Cheng and Alex Oasay are scheduled to entertain guests starting at 6pm. The fireworks show is scheduled to start at 9:05pm.

Turtle Bay Resort will host live music, food and a grand fireworks show. This event is free and open to the public. Note that food is available for purchase and $10 parking fee may apply. The fireworks show is set to begin at 8pm. Turtle Bay Resort is located at 57-091 Kamehameha Highway in Kahuku on Oahu’s North Shore. See this link for more details.

The 45th annual 4th of July Spectacular is open to Department of Defense ID cardholders and their guests. This two-day event includes concerts, rides, games, food, fireworks and more. Musical entertainers include Kelsea Ballerni on July 3rd and Daughtry on July 4th. Fireworks are set to display at 8:30pm on the fourth. For more details see this link.
4th of July Celebration at Ward Field Sponsored by USAA is open to all military-affiliated personnel and their sponsored guests. The celebration will be held at Ward Field includes live entertainment, a petting zoo, Xpress Train and more. Headliner Three Days Grace will perform at 7:30pm. The fireworks display is set for 9pm. A fireworks show over the beautiful Ko Olina lagoon fronting the new Four Seasons Oahu Resort and Disney Aulani Resort is set to begin at 8:30pm. Consider making a lovely night of it (and secure parking) by dining at one of these two resorts earlier and enjoying a beautiful Ko Olina sunset.
