The following information is from 2012.
Will you be welcoming 2013 on Kauai? The top spot to celebrate this festive occasion is at the Poipu Beach Music Fest and Fireworks Celebration. Thanks to the sponsorship with Kalapaki Joe’s and the Poipu Beach Association, this event is free
and open to the public.Kalapaki Joe’s Music Fest starts at 5pm on New Year’s Eve. Musical performances will include Na Hoku Hanohano Award Winning musician Anuhea, Dustin Thomas, Kauai’s Revival and Hawaiian Surf Legend Titus Kinimaka.
Food booths will offer local fare for purchase from Kalapaki Joe’s, Keokis Paradise, Chalupas and Pacos Tacos.
This family-friendly event includes fun for the keiki (children) too, with a playground area and Hawaiian games. Kid’s activities will center around the keiki tent sponsored by the Boys and Girls Club of Kauai. Access to keiki tent is complimentary though donations are encouraged.
You won’t have to stay up until midnight to see the fireworks show as the fireworks display starts at 9:20pm.
All these fun New Year’s Eve events take place at Poipu Beach Park. Use this Google map to find directions. Poipu Beach Park is within walking distance of several Poipu hotels and condos. So, use that Google map to determine a walking route as well.
If possible, I do recommend that you walk as parking in the area is limited and will be available on a first come first serve basis.
As New Year’s Eve approaches, you might want to practice how to say ‘happy new year’ in Hawaiian — Hau’oli Makahiki Hou!

We are looking for New Year's Eve events for 2013. All of the information we find is for 2012. Can you send details or web link? Thanks, Linda Elling
Linda -- the reason you aren't finding 2013 details is that they simply aren't available at this time. They're generally not announced until mid-December or after! We have no control over when event planners announce their events. It's just the way things happen in Hawaii.
