Kalapaki Joe’s in partnership with Poipu Beach Resort Association are hosting
the New Year’s Eve celebration on December 31, 2011 at Poipu Beach Park.  The
event, which is complimentary and open to the public begins at 5:00 pm with live
local music, food booths and a keiki tent and culminates with a spectacular
fireworks show at 9:15 pm

The Kalapaki Joe’s Music Fest, emceed by hosts from the Kauai Kine Radio Show
on SURF 95.9, features bands from Kauai including Alyson’s Anthem and the
Papaa Bay Boys playing at 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm respectively.  Local favorite
Sashamon plays at 7:00 pm and the reggae band Revival headlines the event at
8:15 pm.

The Keiki Tent, sponsored by the Boys and Girls Club of Kauai, will be located next
to the beach playground and features Hawaiian games and much more.  The tent is
complimentary to the public, but donations to the club are highly encouraged.

Food Booths will be set up around the main county pavilion at Poipu Beach Park and
will highlight local fare for families from members of the Poipu Beach Resort
Association.  Keokis Paradise, Pizzetta, Pacos Tacos and Shave Ice by the Boys
and Girls Club are the vendors that are participating.
