Today’s cool shot comes to us from Dave on Oahu. He took this pirate ship photo at the Ko Olina
Marina near the 4th lagoon. Dave believes this ship is the Queen Anne’s Revenge from the Pirates of the Caribbean movie that was recently filmed around Hawaii.Pretty cool ship pic, eh? Mahalo to Dave for sharing another great photo!

Thanks Sheila,
BTW - This IS the "Queen Anne’s Revenge" from the latest Pirates of the Caribbean movie.
Just like in the movie... I saw the name on the back of the ship. ;)
This picture doesn't do it justice. The detail on the ship is absolutely amazing.
Here is a link to a much better picture that someone else took.

Yours is a great pic, too Dave. Thanks for sending it. in.
Does anyone know how long this might be there? I'll be in the area in a couple weeks and would love to see it in person.
starr - I asked this myself and I'm not sure if anyone knows. I believe Dave took this photo earlier this month. I believe the ship has been there for several months. So, maybe there's a good chance it will still be there when you visit.
It should be there I believe it is going to stay there at the new Disney resort. I seen it and have some great shots of it with detail from a trip there in Sept.
It's been there for several months. I've been told that this is the same spot The Blabk Pearl was parked at for quite a while. But nobody really knows when they might start filming again and need it on another island or whatever but I think your chances of seeing it in the next couple of weeks are pretty darn good.
Thanks for the info. We're looking forward to seeing it, so we'll keep our fingers crossed that it stays put a few more weeks.
I finally saw the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie yesterday. After seeing Dave's photo, I definitely recognized the Queen Anne's Revenge. Very cool!
Also, I recognized these trees from Kauai's Allerton Garden were in the movie -- http://www.flickr.com/photos/govisithawaii/4590754666/
Saw the ship today. It was on dry ground and was partially covered in black cloth, but was still really cool to see it in person.
Awesome, starr. Thanks for letting us know.
