Aloha and Hau’oli Makahiki Hou (Happy New Year) from Lana’i!
One of the “hazards” of writing about Hawaii travel is that so often I stop to daydream about doing the very things I’ve just written. Case in point– last year, I wrote about the New Year’s Eve events on Lanai
. I really couldn’t imagine a more beautiful place to celebrate the coming of the new year than to be at the gorgeous Four Seasons Lanai at Manele Bay. So, when Andy and I realized that our team wasn’t going to a bowl game this year–and we were free to travel anywhere we wanted–Lanai immediately popped into my mind. Et voila, I’m here!I’m including a photo from last night’s outstanding fireworks display over Hulopoe Bay. Maybe I should start hoping my team doesn’t qualify ever again for bowl games and I can spend New Year’s Eve on Lanai every year. 😉
I wish you many blessings in 2010 and if you’ve not yet been to Hawaii, I hope that 2010 is your year to visit!
