Here’s a photo we took at Ke’e Beach on Kauai’s North Shore. As you can see there’s several warnings about the conditions in the water. I’d advise you to always read the warning signs and observe conditions before diving into the ocean. It’s best, if possible,to swim at beaches staffed with lifeguards. For more important ocean safety tips, see this very useful Hawaii Ocean Safety Web site and always remember: when in doubt, don’t go out!

That’s a lot of signs!
“when in doubt, don’t go out” sounds like a good advice to me! safety first 🙂
The only sign missing is the shark sign. I have seen it at Olowalu on Maui.
Aloha,
Keahi
@ jim – a lot of signs, indeed!
@ AMB – I’m a big chicken, so all I need is one warning to keep me safely on the shoreline. 🙂
@ Keahi – haven’t seen the shark sign anywhere on Hawaii, yet and I hope I don’t either. 🙂
