I really like this video clip from a 1960’s show called Hawaii Calls. I’ll let the video do the talking to introduce the song. You can also find the lyrics
and a little bit more about the song here.I do love fresh Hawaiian papaya. When you’re in Hawaii, look for fresh papaya on the breakfast menus or in the grocery stores. It’s usually served by the half with a wedge of lime. De-lish! If you develop a craving for Hawaiian papaya, you can order it online and have it shipped to you at home.

Papaya is good, Hilo Hattie is good, video cracked me up! I've heard he jingle I'm sure but I don't think I've seen the video... maybe when I was a lot younger I may have seen it on TV. Cute! :)
Hi Evelyn - glad you enjoyed the video with a laugh. I guess this video came out before MTV. :-P
I love vintage Hawaii stuff, especial everything from before WWII and up to the 50's & early 60's. When I think of Hawaii, that time period always seems to be what comes to the top of my mind. I believe that Hawaii in general is trying to revive and preserve a lot of the spirit from that time period.
Hey Dave - I love the vintage stuff, too. I really like the old travel posters. Hawaii must have seemed really exotic to the world before the 60's.
