Whether you’ve been to Maui on vacation and you miss it or you’re planning your Maui trip, you will find these videos a real treat. I’m super impressed with the wealth of visual information that Blue Hawaiian Helicopter created on their site. The videos are were filmed from a helicopter. Each video is accompanied with lovely music which makes watching them even more enjoyable.
These entertaining and informational videos can be a great help for planning your Maui vacation. The site has an interactive map that you can click on to open up videos from that particular region. The videos also display the names of the beaches, towns, golf courses, hotels and condos. Here’s how you can wisely use these videos as you plan your Maui vacation:
1. Get acquainted with the overall geography and terrain of Maui.
2. Make note of the scenery that catches your eye so that you can plan a visit into your itinerary.
3. If you are on the fence about driving the road to Hana, going to the Iao Needle, or to the top of Haleakala, then take a peek at the videos. You’ll get a small taste of how beautiful the scenery is.
4. Use the videos and photos to help you select your hotel or condo.
5. Get an idea of what a helicopter tour of Maui might be like to determine if you want to schedule a helicopter tour or not. (Don’t forget to review these tips for choosing a helicopter tour.)
Here are a couple of hints and tips for using playing the videos:

Cool videos, they really make you feel like you're taking the helicopter tour.
@ Tom - I'm glad you found Go Visit Hawaii. Welcome!
@ Andy - I agree, though as great as the videos are, we both know what a thrill it is to actually be in the helicopter seeing the scenery first hand.
Hi Sheila,
I've lived in Hawaii for 28 years now and I haven't taken a helicopter tour yet of the islands. You can see a little bit of the islands from an airplane but the landing or takeoff is too quick and the viewing area is usually limited to the airports. A helicopter ride can take you up close to spectacular viewing areas that airplanes normally don't approach such as the Na Pali coastline or the volcano on the Big Island.
Helicopter rides are a little expensive with the cost of oil going up, but if you can only visit Hawaii once in your lifetime, I think it is worth it.
I am still mad at myself for the not taking a helicopter ride on the Big Island when the lava on the volcano there was spewing lava 2,000 feet in the air about 15 years ago. So if it happens again, don't hesitate taking a helicopter ride like I did. My friends who did never stopped talking about it.
Aloha,
Christian
Hi Chris - the helicopter tour prices are cheap, that's for sure. Plus, on something with that sort of risk, you wouldn't necessarily want to shop around for the cheapest ride either.
About the volcano, with the increased Sulfur Dioxide warnings, it makes me wonder what Pele is going to do next. FYI - I've got a post going up on Saturday with the best Hawaii lava video I've seen. It's amazing!
As always, I appreciate your comments and participation! I'm so luck to have you as a friend who can add the local perspective!
Aloha,
Sheila
Wow! I am amazed by the video! I'm inspired by this and wants to plan a visit very soon!
