We're going to be on the Big Island in late March and are looking forward to it tremendously. It will be our first stay down near Hilo town.
This volcanic activity is such an amazing thing. I'm really very excited to see the lava activity after reading this post.
It is amazing! We just got back from a visit to the Big Island and saw surface flows, a flow into the ocean and a churning lava lake at Halemaumau. It was really thrilling to see it all.
