Today, we caught the brunch-time performance in the Great Hall of the Four Seasons Lanai Lodge at Koele. The soaring ceiling and oversized chairs created the perfect environment to enjoy live ukulele music.
In most of the other events multiple artists played, but today’s performance focused solely on the ukulele and silky smooth voice of Kawika Kahiapo
from Oahu. We enjoyed this change of pace from the previous days — perfect for a Sunday morning.Kawika is an amazing talent as you will see and hear from this short video we shot today.

He voice and style reminds me of IZ. I believe that both of them studied under Hawaii’s beloved Gabby Pahinui, which might explain the similarities.
If you’re going to Oahu, you can catch Kawika playing at Waikiki’s Outrigger Reef on the Beach on Thursdays and Fridays. On Sunday’s you can see him in Ko Olina at the Disney Aulani resort.
