If you've never seen 30ft waves in person, then you can't imagine how powerful they are, even standing on the beach. Getting in the water is a whole different thing. Having done both, I can say for sure - it's worth the trip to Hawaii just to see them!

Was on Oahu's north shore this summer and the water was so calm. Hope to go back one day to see the ocean this time of year. Looks awesome!
