We all know that dining in Kauai can be expensive. So, I recently asked Brian if he would be interested in providing us with a list of his favorite budget-friendly places to dine on Kauai. Lucky for us, he said yes. Here’s his list of places that you can easily dine for under $10 per person:

We can both eat lunch for less than $5.00 total.” (Note that you don’t have to have be a Costco member to access the Costco restaurant.)

I completely agree with the Costco listing! My husband and I just returned from Kauai last week. We bought fresh poke, a sashimi platter and shrimp cocktail from Costco. They were all fresh and delcious! The shrimp cocktail was the best I've ever had.
They do not have the poke all the time, weekends mostly and during their "Seafood Days". Check with them on dates.
You won't be disappointed with the taste, price or quality. We took all back to our balcony room overlooking the ocean at the Sheraton Poipu. Oceanfront dining at a fraction of the cost!
Shabingie - thanks for sharing your thoughts on Costco in Kauai. Now, having poke on your oceanfront lanai in Poipu sounds absolutely wonderful.
Hi Sheila,
Please help with Best Waikiki Cheap Eats. I'm planning to be in Waikiki for 5 days and don't want to pay a fortune for meals. Thank you very much.

You should probably review our first time visitors guide making sure to check the island guides as well: https://www.govisithawaii.com/first-time-visitors-guide-to-hawaii/
Hi Sheila,
We'll be visiting Oahu for four days and Kauai for two days in July and would like to do a Luau in either islands. Which one would you recommend please?
Thanks for your help.
Brian
Since you'll be on Oahu longer, I'd recommend there. Oahu offers several nice luaus. In no particular order, Paradise Cove, Germaines and the Polynesian Cultural Center offer great luaus and Polynesian dancing shows.
Hi Sheila,
Thank you for your recommendations. If I have to have a luau in Kauai, which one would you recommend?
Thanks
Brian
