Caring For Hawaii’s Sea Life

As this is Earth Day, let’s consider the very important topic of protecting Hawaii’s reefs, fish, and marine mammals when you visit. This entertaining video

with excellent underwater footage is narrated by a fish. Listen to the story they would tell if they could only talk.

I do encourage you to watch the video, but if you don’t have the time, please honor these recommendations:

– Don’t touch or step on coral as it can damage and even destroy coral

– Don’t feed the fish as it causes an imbalance. (See my post on why you shouldn’t feed fish.)

– Keep a respectful distance from sea turtles, dolphins and fish. Let them decide how close they want to get to you.
