The Plumeria Beach House Restaurant is located at the Kahala Resort on Oahu. The setting is very pleasant, beach side with teak furniture, linen place mats, and cream colored umbrellas.
The waitstaff was a little inconsistent. Sometimes they were great and other times we felt slightly neglected. For example, the waitress didn’t offer to tell us about any specials or choices of teas. However, we later heard her telling the table beside of us those details.
The lunch menu was extensive with many selections of sandwiches, salads, soups, as well as more substantial fish entrees. I would classify this restaurant as being expensive with an average meal costing around $20 per person.
Our lunches were served with a nice selection of fresh breads, homemade crackers, and butter. Our water glasses were kept filled.
The restaurant charges $3 for small glass of soda that is loaded with ice. There were no free refills. Iced teas were $5, but they came with a simple sugar syrup for sweetening, which was a nice touch, but still over priced.
Overall, we enjoyed our lunch at the Plumeria Beach House restaurant, though the prices were definitely on the high side. I’ll finish by saying that if you do find yourself on the grounds of the Kahala, the Plumeria Beach House is worth a try.
