On Hawaii’s Big Island, you have the unique opportunity to see hundreds of seahorse on a seahorse farm. Yep, you read that right — hundreds of seahorses on a seahorse farm!
Andy and I checked out the Ocean Rider Seahorse Farm’s guided tour a few years ago. Read our Ocean Rider Seahorse Farm Tour review
.As it’s been a few years since I’ve written about this experience, I thought I’d bring it back to your attention. Seeing and learning about seahorses is really interesting fun for kids of all ages — including a couple of “kids” in their thirties and forties. 🙂
Since our visit, it looks like Ocean Rider has added an option to reserve tour ticket online to save $5 per ticket. Adult tickets are $35 at the ticket office or $30 if booked online 24 hours in advance. Children’s tickets are $25 at the gate or $20 if booked ahead online. Tours are offered at 10am, noon and 2pm. I recommend the 10am time for slightly cooler weather.
