Peek a Blue

While hiking on the Kalalau Trail last month, we’d stop from time to time just to savor the views. Of course, there are fantastic views of cliffs, beaches and the famous Na Pali coast, but other, unexpected views were just as enjoyable.

This challenging  trail was muddy, requiring me to carefully place each step. Though I had to concentrate on my footing, my attention would be grabbed by the ocean. Oh, the shades of turquoise blue were spectacular!

To help me remember these amazing hues, I asked I asked Andy to snap this photo showing the ocean’s color popping through the tropical trees and shrubs. Now that you know the story behind this photo, I hope you enjoy this shot as much as I do.
