Try a Refreshing Glass of POG

When you visit Hawaii, you may see or hear of a beverage called POG. It’s pronounced like fog, but with a P. This strange-sounding beverage is a mixture of passion fruit, orange, and guava juices. In other words, it’s glass full of delicious.

In Hawaii, you’ll find POG  in places like resort breakfast buffets and  in grocery stores. If you fly with Hawaiian Airlines on an inter-island flight, the flight attendants will most likely offer you a small, pre-filled cup of POG.

We don’t have POG in our local grocery stores in North Carolina. However, I have seen POG in our local Costco. Do you have POG in your local mainland stores? Are you a POG fan?

  • Search out some of the other juices that aren't full of sugar or high fructose corn syrup...try Dole or Sun Tropics....or possibly more local options. Love the fruit mix but Meadow Gold needs to step up, and clean up, their recipes.

  • ya, love POG! you don't drink it cuz it's good for you, you drink it cuz you love it....

  • POG is up there with chocolate-covered macadamia nuts. I know it's not good for me but it's a treat I can't resist when in Hawaii!

I love the idea of POG mimosas!!!
