Not only is the breakfast tasty here, but the view is wonderful treat, too. The dining room is perched on the mountainside at 3,200 feet above sea level. The dining room has floor to ceiling windows to offer beautiful views of Maui and the Pacific Ocean. Politely ask if you may be seated near the window for best views, but don’t fret if you don’t get a window seat as all tables offer a good view.
After you’ve had breakfast and warmed up from the chilly sunrise, have a look around at the art gallery and stroll the grounds to see beautiful tropical flowers.
You’ll find Kula Lodge at 15200 Haleakala Highway (Route 377) in Kula. You can reach them at (808) 878-1535 .
Note: I’ve been advised that Kula Lodge is only recommended for breakfast.

I agree! Everytime we have family/friends/visitors/guests/ come to visit Maui - we take them to Haleakala in the morning and eat breakfast at Kula Lodge.
Liza - it's good to know that the Kula Lodge gets a thumbs up from locals as well. One day we'll have to meet up there for some breakfast. :)
Are reservations recommended?
I'm not even sure if they take reservations for breakfast. We've never booked ahead for breakfast. You might want to call them and ask.
