Hawaii Vacation News Roundup for July 11th
- Uh oh! Hundreds of jellyfish are back to invade Oahu’s west side. KGMB reports that lifeguards normally expect to see around 40 jellyfish, but yesterday they counted 700. If you are going, be safe and always follow signs and lifeguard instructions. (For more information see a previous articlewe wrote about a large influx of jellyfish)
- There is a report on a rare “bargain” at the luxurious Kahala Resort on Oahu. The deal includes free breakfast for two and a $200 resort credit with a three night minimum stay. I put bargain in quotes because you’ll have to pay rack room rates and those start at $576.60 per night. (Ouch!) One little word of caution, before you book, be sure and check out the status of their construction. We recently observed some rather noisy construction while we had lunch at the Kahala and enjoyed the Dolphin Quest there. For more details about the deal head on over to the LA Times Daily Travel Deal Blog.
