An A-Mazing Pineapple

This weekend’s edition of Parade Magazine has an article featuring America’s 21 Wonders.  The one “wonder” from Hawaii is the Pineapple Maze at Dole Plantation.  This maze is the world’s largest and is made up of over 11,000 plants including the Hawaii state flower, the hibiscus.  Navigating the pineapple takes about 45 minutes.

The maze is located on Oahu about a 40 minute drive from the Waikiki area.  It is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children.

If you aren’t lucky enough to go there anytime in the near future, don’t worry, you can virtually navigate the maze with this link
