Aloha Friday Photo: First Lanai Sunrise of 2013

Missagh Rajaei photo from Lanai

Mahalo nui loa to Missagh Rajaei, Assistant Manager at Four Seasons Lanai for allowing us to share his amazing Lanai sunrise photo. It’s a stunner!

Missagh’s photo proves to us that getting up early for sunrise is a rewarding experience. Due to our jet lag, we’re typically up well before sunrise on our first few mornings after arrival. On those mornings, we love to sit out on the lanai, sipping coffee as we watch the island awaken from its calm slumber. It’s nearly heaven on earth. (See our post on using your jet lag to your advantage.)

Missagh tells us that this photo is of the first sunrise of 2013. If this scene is any indicator of what 2013 has in store for Lanai, 2013 is going to be a fantastic year!

  1. This photo is beautiful! I want to move to Hawaii so bad. I’m excited to be reading your blog, as I am a new blogger (kind-of) and thinking of changing my focus more to travelling. First on my list: Waikiki Hawaii!

Tickets are not purchased yet, and my hesitation is with the expense of living there, but boy does it look beautiful!

(PS I’ve been googling a log.. but do you know of any good horse farms out in Hawaii? There don’t seem to be that many)

    Thanks!

    1. There are horseback riding tour companies all across Hawaii. Kuoloa Ranch, Hana Ranch, Koele, Princeville Ranch are just a few that come to mind.

      1. I checked out Kuoloa Ranch as a potential place to work if I relocated to the waikiki area but unfortunately they were unable to consider me as I was not in the immediate area and told me to try back after moving. Also I’ve been looking less for tours and more for competitive riding. But I haven’t checked out those other places you mentioned so I’ll look those up too! Thanks!
