Great Products That Make Traveling Easier (& You Could Win Them!)

Travel products

You know I’m big on traveling light. Andy and I have engineered Hawaii packing to a science, so we travel to Hawaii with carry-on luggage – that’s it.  By packing light, we skip paying luggage fees and bypass waiting at the baggage carrousel to get onto the fun!

I’m always on the lookout for products that make traveling light easier. So, when the oneCARE Company asked if I’d like to try some of their products, I was all for it!

Here’s what I tried:

Downy Wrinkle Release

You don’t have to worry about spending time ironing your clothes as you unpack with Downy Wrinkle Release. The directions say to spray, tug and smooth, and hang. We’ve had best results when we spray, lay the garment on a flat surface like the hotel bed to smooth out wrinkles and then hang.

Bear in mind that your clothes aren’t going to look perfectly pressed like they would from the dry cleaners, but they’ll certainly look plenty good enough to wear.

Downy Wrinkle Release comes in 3oz containers which meet TSA requirements for carry-on liquids stored in a one-quart zip-lock bag.

Manufacturers suggested retail price is $1.47.

Tide Odor-Absorbing Travel Laundry Bag

As you take off dirty clothes at home, it’s easy to toss them in the laundry basket. Since you can’t travel with your laundry basket, this Tide Odor Absorbing Travel Laundry Bag does the trick.

When we travel to Hawaii, we do a lot of island and hotel hopping. So, it’s always been a challenge to find a place in our luggage to keep the dirty clothes separate from the clean clothes as we move onto the next location. This Tide laundry bag solves that problem.

I love that this laundry bag is odor absorbing and microbial resistant. The fabric is breathable, too so your dirty clothes can dry out, if need be.

Manufacturer’s suggested retail price is $3.97.

Bounce Lint & Freshness Roller

I highly recommend you travel with a lint roller as you can see from this 2008 post on my necessities when flying to and from Hawaii.  What I like about this Bounce Lint & Freshness Roller is that it applies a mild “outdoor fresh” fragrance on your clothes. After a long flight to Hawaii, a little “outdoor fresh” fragrance is a nice pick-me-up.

This lint roller comes with 30 sheets. It’s compact and retails for $1.99.

Dryel On The Go Instant Stain Remover

I tested the Dryel Instant Stain Remover on two stains on my khaki capris. These stains had already dried and set in before I noticed them. I was somewhat skeptical that the stains would clear out without stain treating and laundering at home. I followed the Dryel On The Go directions and in less than a minute, the stains disappeared. Yippee!

Dryel On The Go is safe on dry clean only clothes, delicates and hand-washables. We love that! This product is not only going to go in my luggage when I travel – it’s going in my purse, too.

Dryel On The Go comes in a 0.7oz container that meets TSA requirements for carry-on liquids stored in a one-quart zip-lock bag.

Manufacturer’s suggested retail price is $2.97.

As you can see, we really liked these products. They’re all very well-priced, too.
