Kauai is loaded with great free stuff to see and do. If your vacation budget doesn’t allow for a luau on Kauai, then catch a free hula show at the Coconut MarketPlace in Kapaa on the East side of the island. (Click here for directions.) The shopping center offers a free hula show every Wednesday evening at 5pm.

The Coconut MarketPlace has 60 “distinctively Hawaiian shops and restaurants” where you can find souvenirs. The center also makes for a good place to grab an inexpensive late lunch, shave ice, or early dinner before or after the hula show. It’s easy on the wallet and we all love that!

US Airways has announced some great fares to Hawaii from all across the US Mainland.  One way fares are as low as $182.  It seems like the East Coast folks have been snubbed with some of the recent fare deals, but this sale includes East coast departures as well.  For example, the Charlotte (CLT) to Honolulu (HNL) flight is $278 one way. For details and restrictions, click here.

Don’t forget that Kauai hotels are also on sale this fall and there are big deals for the Big Island.  If you’re dreaming of that perfect Hawaii vacation, this fall is a great time to save money. 

Several new Hawaii travel bargains have popped up in the last few hours and I wanted to pass them along to you.

Note:  I compared this price to the best five night deal that I could find on Expedia.  The lowest rate I found was $1595 plus tax without breakfast and without a free room upgrade.  So this Autumn offer will save you at least $215.

Note:  I compared this offer to the best deal I could find on Expedia.  The lowest rate I found was $180 per night plus taxes, but that rate was without free breakfast and rental car, so this special “All in One Package” is definitely a good deal.

Recently AAA released a survey of the cost for lodging and meals across US vacation destinations and as no surprise, Hawaii topped the list.  AAA said that the average family of four spends $650 per day, however you don’t have to search long to find great family vacation packages that cost much less.  For example, Hilton properties in Hawaii are offering a Discovery Kids package that includes free continental breakfast daily at reasonable rates. 

The Hilton Kauai Beach Resort rates start at $211 per night for the Discovery Kids package.  This recently renovated resort will be a hit with the kids because it has several pools including a fresh water sand bottom pool and a flume and lava water slide.  Parents will be pleased with the free nightly cocktail reception as well as the free nightly torch lighting and Polynesian dance show. 

Other Hilton locations across Hawaii offering the Discovery Kids special deal  are as follows:

• $284 per room, per night at Hilton Waikoloa Village on the Big Island
• $249 per room, per night at Hilton Hawaiian Village on Oahu

The LA Times Daily Deal Blog is reporting that the Princeville Resort on the beautiful north shore of Kauai is offering a deal of up to 35% off.  The room rate is being discounted and if you stay five nights, the sixth night is free.  You can also get up to 35% discount off green fees, tennis, spa admission, and Avis rental car. 

One word of caution, the Princeville Resort is due to be rennovated and rebranded as a St. Regis hotel.  So, you might encounter some construction.
