We have been to Kauai, Oahu, Maui, Lanai and Hawaii, the Big Island, during peak whale season. From our experience, Maui and Hawaii islands seemed to have the most activity.
If you’re traveling to Hawaii this month, there’s still a chance that you could see humpback whales — especially around Maui. We’re slightly past peak season, but we have certainly seen humpback whales in Hawaii in April and even in early May.
